Study Cello at Georgia State University (Atlanta) or Online
I’m Dr. Gabriel Prynn, cellist and educator, and I lead the cello studio at Georgia State University in Atlanta. I also teach students online worldwide.

-

Experience
I studied in the UK with Clive Greensmith at the Royal Northern College of Music, later with David Finckel of the Emerson Quartet, and completed my Doctorate at the University of Montreal. I have taught and performed internationally across North and South America, Europe, South Africa, and Asia.
Alongside my chamber and solo work, I have extensive orchestral experience, including Principal Cello roles with the Atlantic Music Festival Orchestra and Acting Principal Cello of the Quebec Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as orchestral and sectional work in a range of professional and youth ensembles.
I previously served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Cello at Ohio University and was Resident Artist and String Program Coordinator at the Atlantic Music Festival (Maine).
My work as a performer with Trio Fibonacci and in European contemporary music ensembles informs my teaching approach.
